OUR  STAFF

Karen A., Supervisor
Karen is a technician who came to BVH eight years ago with ten years of experience in the veterinary field. She has a special interest in emergency medicine and surgery but can also be found assisting in bookkeeping. Some of her outside interests include traveling, sports, camping, and spending time with her children. Her pets include an adopted three-year-old German Shepherd named Cooper; two felines, Sarah and Dexter; and an adorable mouse, Stuart Little.


Shannon A.
Shannon joined our team in September 2004. She has a B.S. in Psychology and Biology of Animal Behavior. She chose to come to our practice because she wanted to work at a hospital that offered emergency services. Shannon works as the telephone operator and discharge technician on emergency clinic. At home, she has three dogs, Nala (a Lab-Border Collie mix), Spike (a Boston Terrier), and Chopper (a Great Swiss Mountain Dog), and two cats, Koa and Hina. Shannon's special interests include oceanography and marine life. 

Tabitha B.

Tabitha is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Pathobiology and Animal  Science at the University  of  Connecticut. She started working at BVH in January 2009 and works as an Animal care technician. Tabitha enjoys taking great care of all the animal's in the hospital. She choose BVH because of its friendly atmosphere and emergency services. At home she has two cats (Naomi and Daisy) and two rats named Charles and Bella. In her spare time Tabitha enjoys snowboarding, reading and piano playing. 


 Carolyn B.
Carolyn came to BVH in August 2000, having worked at a smaller clinic for a year. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in December 2002 with a degree in Animal Science. Her areas at work include reception, exam, discharge and filling in where needed. She likes working with a variety of animals that enter the hospital and is excited to be part of such a nice crew. Carolyn is especially interested in exotic animal medicine and has one iguana, two bearded dragons, six tortoises, nine snakes, two cats, three dogs, fish, rats, and mice. Carolyn's hobbies include reading, visiting Renaissance Fairs, and chasing after her two beautiful little girls. She is currently training Wren for agility trials.

Jen B.
Jen began volunteering with BVH as a project for FFA in April 2004. She so enjoyed the patient variety and constant opportunity for learning that she became a permanent employee in July 2005. Jen can usually be found in the animal care and exam areas of the hospital. She also runs our space on Petfinder and will soon be taking over the adoptions page of this website! In her free time, Jen enjoys boating, visiting new shoreline towns, hiking, and water skiing. At home, she enjoys the companionship of her Chihuahua, Cody, Taffy the yellow lab, Henrietta the sheep, and Bugs Bunny, her rabbit.

Sharlene B. W.
Shar is a 1997 graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a degree in Psychology. She trained as a technician at another practice, but came to us in July 1999 due to our  fast-paced practice with the availability of 24-hour and large animal care.  She enjoys the fact that our staff is a big family!  Shar and Vaughn have two dogs, a Bernese Mountain Dog named Mystery and a Labrador named Porter; four cats, Willow, Gavin, Isabelle, and Gabriel; a Sun Conure, Bodhi. Shar is one of our trained laboratory technicians and enjoys working on the microscope. She is also the originator of "Living Inside My Heart," a project which offers custom made wooden urns, stepping and memorial stones, and personalized frames for your departed furry companions.

Amanda C.
Amanda began working with BVH in May 2006.  She currently works in the inpatient, exam, and discharge areas of the hospital.  She has one dog, Brie, and four cats, Tilty, Rusty, Pumpkin, and Snickers.  In her spare time, Amanda enjoys horseback riding, scrapbooking, and training Brie in agility. 


 



Carol C., Supervisor
Carol started at Bolton Vet in February 1986.  Despite the fact that she possesses a B.S. in Renewable Natural Resources, she came to our then small practice as a veterinary technician because she had experience in the field.  Over the years, Carol has come to love her job and "feels that this is her extended family."  Carol now works as a supervisor in our large hospital and spends much of her time here keeping our computer system up to date, coordinating educational animal programs, and working on expanding our facility.  Carol is the wife of Dr. David Coley and spends a great deal of time with their children, Adam and Rachel.  In her "free" time, Carol works as a Girl Scout leader, assists on the Board of Education in Columbia, and teaches Sunday school.  In her actual free time she enjoys reading, hiking, and scrapbooking. 

Cheryl C., CVT
Cheryl works the overnight shift as one of our emergency technicians is trained as an anesthetist.  She has been with BVH since December 2001 and enjoys the intensity of emergency medicine.  She chose to work at BVH because of the high quality of care given to our patients and because she wants to be surrounded by outstanding doctors.  Cheryl enjoys reading, camping, and spending quality time with her daughter Brittany.  She has several elderly and special needs kitties that she considers the best cats in the world.  

Denise C., CVT
Denise has been with BVH since 1988, bringing with her the experience of two other hospitals.  She obtained a degree in Animal Science from UCONN and has a special interest in equine medicine.  Denise currently has ten horses, Pete, Misty, Kahlil, Pompeii, LA, Chip, Mr. and Mrs. Mini, Comet, and Vixen; four cats, Slick, Little, Jorge Pawsada, and Sheffield; and one dog, Carleigh.  Her special interests include veterinary practice management, business and life coaching, decorative painting, calligraphy, writing, Mary Kay consulting, and New York Yankees baseball.  Denise previously served on several state horse association boards and is a past Vice President of the Veterinary Health Care Team of Connecticut Board of Directors.

Julie C.
Julie joined the staff of BVH in 2004.  She shares her home with five cats, two dogs, and one dove.  Julie enjoys swimming, kayaking, watching Will Ferrell movies, and seeing live Beatles cover bands.  Her favorite thing about BVH is learning about the different species of animals that come through our doors.

 

 Lisa C., CVT, Supervisor
Lisa attended both Becker College and UCONN and has been with us since June of 1988. She chose BVH due to our large caseload and the variety it affords.  Lisa is especially interested in feline behavior and periodically attends Cornell University's feline behavior seminars in order to better educate pet owners in the area of behavior issues.  She also works in the laboratory here at BVH, in addition to supervising our adoption program.  Lisa claims ownership of the "best dog in the world", a boxer/elephant cross named Ian, as well as a beagle, Daisy, and a beagle cross, Lily. She also has four cats, Cameron, Garth, Duncan, and Molly.  Lisa is currently planning for her newest hobby - horse ownership. 


Monique C.
Monique became a technician at BVH in April 2006.  Mo chose our practice because her pets came here as patients to "always receive the best care" and because she thought it would be great to work with people who felt that "someone elses animal was just as important as their own."  She currently spends her time here working in the inpatient area as an Animal Care Technician, making sure all of the patients have fresh, comfortable beds, clean litter boxes, and regular walks.  She also makes sure to spoil them as much as possible while they are away from their families.  In addition, Mo works in our examination area assisting doctors, weighing and admitting patients, and filling prescriptions.  She is currently a member of our Safety Committee.  Mo has two cats, Daisy and Roxy, and a three-legged dog named Tara.


Amanda D., On-Line Pharmacy Coordinator
Amanda has been part of our family since March 2005.  She works in all facets of the hospital and also helps to monitor and coordinate the internet pharmacy "Vet Store Rx".  Amanda enjoys BVH because "the working atmosphere here is great.  Everyone is willing to help you out when you need it."  During her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, reading, sewing/embroidery, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She has two beautiful cats, Maya (a long-haired kitty with a loud mouth) and Zoey (a medium-haired kitty with a passion for chasing sparkly balls).

Kristy D., Supervisor 
Kristy joined our BVH family in May 1996 and is one of our inpatient supervisors.  "What I like best about BVH is the teamwork and dedication of the doctors and staff.  Everyone is committed to doing the best for our patients.  The doctors are patient, kind and knowledgeable.  They are always keeping up with the changes in veterinary medicine and being open to new ideas.  The technicians are great!  They are truly the heart and soul of BVH.  Their commitment to excellence and dedication to giving the best care possible are a large part of why BVH has been so successful."  Kristy finds anesthesia, surgery, and critical patient care interesting.  She enjoys reading, hiking and exercising.  She has two beautiful chocolate labs and one crazy orange cat.

Sara D., On-Line Pharmacy Coordinator
Sara joined our team in January 2005.  She has  B.S. in Behavioral Biology from Eastern Connecticut State University.  She chose BVH because of the expanding practice, the opportunity to fill many different positions, and because it is a student-friendly, teaching hospital.  Sara can usually be found working in the inpatient areas of the hospital.  In addition, she also monitors and coordinates our on-line pharmacy "VetStoreRX."  Her two cats, Aries (a 6 year old orange tiger short hair) and Siren (a 3 year old orange and white long hair), are described as being the most handsome, devilish felines around.

Carol F., Supervisor, Purchaser 
Carol graduated from Becker College with an A.S. in Animal Science and an A.S. in Accounting and Business Administration in 1986.  She then sent out her resume to various hospitals listed in the phone book. Luckily, we were the first to call her, and she has been with us ever since! Carol is trained to work in all areas of the hospital and acts as a supervisor in those areas as well. Her special interest is in pharmacology and, along with Lori Pine, Carol manages our inventory.  She shares her home with one cat named Sally and three devoted dogs, a terrier mix named Gypsy, a goofy Standard Poodle named Lola and a Pekingese mix named Shelly.  Carol is a talented singer who also enjoys karaoke, spending time with her daughter, reading, needlework, keeping the books for her husband's business and spending time outdoors.

Honore G., CVT
Honore came to Bolton Veterinary Hospital in November  2008. She has a BA degree in mathematics from Central Ct State University, as well as an AS degree in Veterinary Technology from Holyoke Community College. 
Honore has lots of energy, and teaches aerobics when she is not working in our in-patient area.   Honore has three dogs: Hannibal, Barista and Pokey.

 

 

 

Kecia H.
Kecia came to our hospital in September 2007.  She spent three years attending the University of Alaska Southeast majoring in marine biology and minoring in Alaska Native studies.  She is currently continuing her education at Westfield State College in Massachusetts with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry.  The veterinarian that Kecia previously worked for had been employed with BVH in the past and recommended our clinic to her.  She can most often be found in the inpatient, telephone, discharge, and exam areas of the hospital.  Kecia currently has a cat, Mr. Elliott and a German Shepherd, Shayla, and enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends.  She greatly enjoys bowling, billiards, and hiking and fishing in Alaska. 


Melanie H. 
Melanie started working at Bolton Vet in July 2006 and is currently an overnight emergency technician.  She had worked at a small veterinary practice for seven years prior to joining our team.  She chose BVH because of the high quality of care and because we offer 24 hour emergency service.  She stayed because "the doctors and staff are patient and very knowledgeable."  Melanie has one dog, Max; three cats, CC, Emmie, and Murphy; and one rabbit, Sunny.  In her free time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, as well as camping, hiking, playing and watching football, and coaching her childrens' soccer teams.  
 
Stacey H.
Stacey came to work at BVH in June of 2000.  She has an Associates in Veterinary Technology (2003) and a B.S. in Veterinary Science (2005).  Before being hired here, at the age of seventeen, she took advantage of our great job shadow program and was able to make an informed decision about what she wanted to do for a career.  Fortunately for us, she decided that she wanted to become a veterinary technician and became an official member of our team.  Stacey can generally be found working in the inpatient area of the hospital.  She is a trained anesthetist and volunteers for the Safety Committee.  Stacey has three adorable cats named Keely, Odin, and Parker.  She enjoys spending her free time playing pool, camping, watching movies, traveling and sight-seeing.

 Sharon J.
Sharon joined BVH in June of 2005.  She has an Associates Degree in Animal Care and works with us as a veterinary technician.  She came to our hospital because she was ready for a change and wanted the opportunity to learn more and be able to do more with animals.  Sharon works mainly on the emergency clinic, providing both customer service and inpatient care.  At home, she cares for four dogs, Molly, Mattie, Angel, and Summer; two horses, Jasmine and Geronimo; four cats, Squirter, Tabitha, Snowflake, and Muffin; and four bunnies.  Her hobbies include spending time with her horses and working with and training her two year old. 

Erin J., CVT, Supervisor 
Erin is a UCONN graduate with a B.S. in Animal Science.  She joined us in 2000 upon the recommendation of a friend and has since been promoted to the position of supervisor.  She chose BVH because "she enjoys working with animals in our educational and fun environment."  Erin is an avid hockey fan, enjoys horseback riding, and is currently competing and training in dressage.  She has two horses, Count Thyme and Chilmark; four cats, Frankie, Cooper, Ollie, and Lana; and one chinchilla named Stanley. 


Kristin K., CVT
Kristin joined our team in October 2003.  She spent her first year of college studying psychology but then switched to an on-line program studying animal science.  She chose Bolton Veterinary Hospital because of the 24-hour emergency clinic that we offer, as well as for the teamwork and communication oriented atmosphere.  Kristin also enjoys the endless opportunity for improving personal skills and knowledge that BVH affords.  She primarily works in our inpatient area but can sometimes be found working in the outpatient areas, too.  Her other responsibilities include training new technicians and acting as a Team Leader on many of her shifts.  Kristin has four dogs, Katera, Treu, Wrigley, and Falcor; ten cats, Fabian, Shelby, Phoenix, Willow, Maverick, Merlin, Jonezie, Cote, Owen, and Hannah; and two Nigerian Dwarf goats, Charlotte and Valerie.  Kristin's special interests include NASCAR, outdoor landscaping, flower gardening, and spending quiet time at home.     

Mike K.
Mike joined the BVH team in January 2005.  He enjoys working in the animal care, inpatient, and exam areas of our hospital.  When he is not working, he enjoys songwriting and painting.  He keeps his coworkers constantly smiling by turning even the most mundane task into a song.  Mike has two cats, Mickey and Hootie, and a beautiful wife. 

Joan L., Assistant Hospital Manager
Joan started her career with BVH in December 1984.  In over twenty years, Joan has worked in almost every area of the hospital and she is now Assistant Manager.  Joan says it feels like she and BVH have grown up together and that it is a place of great integrity.  Joan loves working with people who feel like family and who all care about the work they do together.  Her first family consists of her very supportive husband, daughter Jessica, five cats, and one dog.  All of her pets have been rescued.  Joan says her dog "Lady" adopted her when this clever canine escaped from the local pound and found her way to their backyard.  Joan's special projects at BVH include The Pet Adoption Program and The Allan Leventhal Memorial Fund.  In 2005, Joan spearheaded the first "Adopt-a-Pet Fun Day" which was a huge success.  She also enjoys the beach, working with stained glass, gardening, and reading.  Joan says she is always in the middle of a book!

Andrea M., CVT
Andrea joined us in June 2000, citing as her reasons the availability of 24-hour services as well as the excellent quality of our staff and medical care. Her special interests at BVH are emergency care and surgery. Andrea is a member of VMAT1, the Veterinary Medical Assistance Team, which operates under the Office of Homeland Security to provide veterinary care during disasters and other emergency situations. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys traveling, swimming with her Labrador Retriever, George, and spending time with her family. 

Chelsea M., CVT
Chelsea began working for Bolton Vet in May 2003.  She possesses an Associate's in Veterinary Technology and a Bachelor's in Veterinary Science.  She chose BVH because of the large variety in cases and animals, as well as for the high level of care that we provide.  Chelsea currently works in our inpatient area as an anesthetist and Team Leader.  She has five cats, Onyx, Gabby, Sierra, Frappe, and Mickey, and two chinchillas, Minus and Squeaker.  Chelsea also fosters a Fidelco pup named Onka.  In her spare time, Chelsea plays and coaches volleyball.  

Delilah MDelilah M.
Delilah's love of animals brought her to BVH as a veterinary technician in September of 2002.  She is currently attending school for physical therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and photography.  Delilah provides a loving home for three cats, Cloud, Mrs. Kitty, and Jake.




Eileen M., CVT
Eileen started working with us in the summer of 2005.  In 1992, she received the highest score in the state on her CVT exam. She works in our radiology, exam, and inpatient departments. What she likes best is "the variety of daily tasks which results in opportunities to learn new things every day. The quality of patient care is, without a doubt, as good as in any human hospital."  Eileen is especially interested in canine geriatrics and her hobbies include reading and trail riding on her horse. She has three Keeshonds (providing lots of fur!), one cat, two goats, and her horse.



Carol P., CVT
Carol has been with us since November of 1996. She has a degree in visual fine arts but her passion is veterinary medical nursing.  "I like BVH because of its progressive attitude towards veterinary medicine and the diversity of it's inpatient population."  Her interests within the field are emergency medicine and surgery.  Carol currently works mainly in our inpatient area as an anesthetist and Team Leader.  In her spare time, you will find her playing with her grandchildren, gardening, doing pottery and oil painting, and cooking.  Carol's family of furry friends includes two Shih Tzus, Daisy and Popeye, a boxer mix named Yogi, and an 18-pound cat named Floyd!

Corey P.
Corey began volunteering at BVH in January 2002 and became a permanent employee in August of that same year.  She works within many areas of our hospital including inpatient, exam, and emergency clinic. She is currently a student at UCONN in the pre-vet program.  Corey has a special interest in cows and in her spare time, she works on a dairy farm and shows cows at various fairs.  An Airedale Terrier, Toby, and Semmintal steer are part of her animal family.



 
Lori PLori P., Supervisor, Inventory Manager
Lori joined us in August 1991 because, as she says, "all the best pets come here." She came to us with a B.A. from UCONN and three years experience as a technician at a one-doctor practice. Lori now works as one of our supervisors and, along with Carol F., Lori handles our purchasing and inventory. She enjoys gardening and movies and can answer any pop culture trivia question you throw her way. Lori has two dogs, a Cairn terrier named Amy and a Pit Bull named Dora.

Taryn Q., CVT
Taryn received her Associates Degree in Animal Science and joined our team in September 2002.  Working within a big hospital and with a variety of patients attracted her to this position. Emergency medicine, treatments, and providing a high standard of care are all part of her daily routine.  She works in all areas of the hospital and assists the doctors as an anesthetist.  Taryn enjoys reading and creating beautiful quilts. She has a chinchilla, Petunia.

Faith R.
Faith joined our staff in November of 2006 as a technician, having already worked at other small and large animal practices in the area.  She is currently a student majoring in veterinary technology.  She chose to work at BVH because of the fast-paced diversity of a large practice and loves the fact that the staff is like one big family.  Faith works in the reception, exam, and discharge areas, and also helps to maintain the website.  In her spare hours she spends time with her lab/pointer cross, Pepper, and her Standardbred endurance horse, Jonsey, and has recently added a kitten and a reptile to the family.


Jackie R., CVT
Jackie joined our staff in April 1989. She had worked as a technician-in-training at two smaller practices but sought to expand her skills. She chose BVH because of its reputation for quality medicine and stayed because of that and the family atmosphere.  She took the Veterinary Technician National Exam and earned one of the top three scores for Connecticut.  After completing the Medical Laboratory Technician course work at Manchester Community College, she became one of our laboratory technicians.  Jackie is especially interested in cytology and hematology, and outside of the lab, avian medicine and behavior.  She is an avid sea kayaker and enjoys folk and Irish music, reading, drawing, wilderness adventures, nature study, and making pottery and jewelry. Jackie has two dogs, a quirky Bull Terrier named Martha, and a Cairn Terrier, Meg, who is almost as cute as Lori's Amy; three cats, Barley, Miss Kitty, and Junebug; one ferret; and one parrots, Bonnie.

Stephanie R.

Stephanie started working at Bolton Vet in May 2006 because of the great experience that she can gain here and because of the friendly staff.  She is currently a student at the University of Connecticut.  Steph works in the exam and animal care areas of the hospital.  In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, and she loves all kinds of art including movies, music, painting, and drawing.  Steph's menagerie includes a lab mix named Roxy, Minnie the Boston Terrier, a parakeet called Sky, a horse named Carter, and four cats, Tootsie, Gracie, Big Man, and Marshmellow.

Danielle S.
Danielle began working at our practice in September 2005.  She chose Bolton Veterinary Hospital because of our large size and she has stayed because of her great coworkers.  Danielle can generally be found working in the exam area or at discharge.  At home, she has one dog called Amber, a horse named Hobson, and a rabbit called Bailey.  In her free time, Danielle enjoys horseback riding and attending horse shows. 


Jackie S., Bookkeeper & Shadow and Volunteer Program Coordinator 
Jackie came to work at BVH in June 2003.  Jackie is a skilled receptionist who primarily works the phones and discharge.  She possesses a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University and uses her business savvy to coordinate our Shadow and Volunteer Program and to assist Ruth with bookkeeping.  Jackie says she loves working at BVH because we are able to provide care to even the most critical of patients anytime of the day or night.  She likes to work the emergency clinic because she can help people and their pets when they are in need.  Jackie is also a busy wife and mom and spends a lot of time at her childrens sporting events.  She travels with her daughter's softball and basketball teams and loves watching her son play hockey with the "Northeast Icedogs".  Jackie has a Golden Retriever named Molly and her family often fosters puppies for the Northstar Foundation.  To round out this clan, Jackie also has a cat named Snickers and two guinea pigs, Daphne and Scooby.

Joyce S., CVT, Supervisor
Joyce has a B.S. in Animal Science and joined our team at BVH in May 1997. She likes that the veterinarians are truly devoted to the patient's care and that the staff shows the same type of devotion. She works is all areas of the hospital but her main interests are radiology and anesthesia, and is planning on obtaining certification as a Veterinary Technician Specialist in anesthesia. Joyce's outside interests are reading, scuba diving, yoga, and daydreaming about moving to Hawaii. She has twelve cats, not including the new stray that comes to visit.

Kristin S.

Kristin came to Bolton Vet in September 2000.  She has a B.A. in Studio Art and a B.S. in Business Administration from Eastern Connecticut State University.  She was recruited while waiting tables at a Mexican restaurant and received on-the-job training from the many wonderful technicians and doctors here.  Kristin is trained in all areas of the hospital and also assists with the adoption committee, bookkeeping, and building and maintaining this website.  In her spare time, Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband and family, doting upon her two beautiful daughters and three wonderful cats, and devouring romance novels. 

Marchelle S.

Marchelle began working at Bolton Veterinary Hospital in November 2005.  She chose our facility for its excellent doctors and staff and because we offer 24 hour emergency services.  Marchelle can usually be found working with our clients at reception, discharge, and on phones.  She also enjoys working the emergency clinic on a regular basis.  Marchelle spends much of her spare time gardening, cooking, and doting upon her pet - a Corgi named Bailey. 

Meghan S.

Meghan joined our staff as a veterinary technician in June of 2008, and works in the exam and inpatient areas.  She graduated from UCONN with a B.S. in Animal Science and began vet school at Ross University in 2005.  She chose to come to our hospital because of the emergency clinic.  She says she also loves the diversity of animals we see, including reptiles (her favorite).  She has two dogs; Chloe, her chocolate lab, and Phoebe, her St. Kitts rescue mixed breed.  Meghan's hobbies include playing with her dogs, traveling, and sleeping!

Rachel S.
Rachel started working at BVH in June 2002.  She works within our discharge, animal care, inpatient and exam areas.  Her love of animals is what brought her to BVH.  Well, that and "it's an awesome place to work!"  In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding.  Rachel has two dogs named Duchess and Rhynn, one cat, Keiga, and one lizard named Draco.

Andrew T., Hospital Manager
Andy has been with Bolton Veterinary Hospital since September 1973 and is our hospital manager.  What he likes best is that "everyday is different and each day, something amazing happens at BVH."  He is a proud supporter of the Allan's Angels Therapy Dog Program, as his dog, Cedar is one of the therapy dogs.  Andy's hobbies include hiking, woodworking, and fine furniture making.  He is also a co-owner of Woodcraft Supply and the Connecticut Valley School of Woodworking in Manchester.  Andy has an Irish Setter, a black Lab, a Greyhound, and two cats.

Michelle T.
Michelle started her career here at BVH in the fall of 08. She graduated from Tolland High School and is currently taking online classes in Veterinary Technology. She chose BVH because we have always taken such good care of all her family's pets. Michelle works as an animal care technician and absolutely loves interacting with the patients and staff. She has a ragdoll cat named Inky who is thirteen years old. In here spare time Michelle enjoys reading and crossword puzzles.

Jillian V.
Jillian came to BVH in March 2007.  She is currently attending UCONN as a full-time Animal Science, pre-vet student.  She shadowed here once before she joined our staff and loved the atmosphere.  Jillian chose our practice because her own pets come here and she is impressed with the care that BVH provides.  When she is not working or studying, Jillian enjoys working with the Special Olympics, caring for the animals at UCONN, running and exercising, and spending quality time with her two dogs, Kayla and Jesse.

Melanie V.
Mel started working at BVH in March of 2007. She attended Windham Tech and earned a degree in Architectural Technologies. She feels that rather than choosing BVH, BVH chose her. She loves the emergency clinic and enjoys working here because there is always something new to learn and because it is always busy and exciting. She can be found working directly with our patients in the inpatient area of the hospital and she often works overnights for the emergency clinic. At home, Mel has a pit bull mix named Bosa and a sun conjure named Bishop. Mel's interests include tattoos, makeup, and exotic animals.

Heather W., CVT 

Heather joined our team in January 2007.  She has a B.S. in Animal Science and has a special interest in both parasitology and radiology. She chose our clinic because of our diverse staff and because we offer the opportunity for personal and professional growth.  Heather can generally be found working in the inpatient, exam and discharge areas of the hospital.  At home, she has a Coonhound named Bella and two rats called Ralph and Ernie. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their crazy dog. 

Vaughn W.
Vaughn, a graduate of S.U.N.Y. Plattsburgh, joined BVH in June of 1997 as a technician. Vaughn work in our inpatient area for his first 4 to 5 years of his time here at BVH, and has now settled into working exam and reception where he enjoys working with both animals and people. While working here at BVH, Vaughn met, fell in love with and married his wife Sharlene. Vaughn greatly enjoys his coworkers, friends, family, pets, and most of all being able to work with his wife every day. His motto regarding his BVH experience: "If you find something you like and do that thing, you will never have to work a day in your life." When not at BVH, Vaughn splits his time between spending quality time with Shar, and mountain biking or trail building in the woods of New England, always with his loyal dogs by his side.
