Exciting Changes Are Coming to Our Emergency Service!
We’re excited to announce an important advancement to our Emergency Service.
After listening to feedback from our clients and our local veterinary community, we’re transitioning to a triage-based emergency model to better serve pets when they need us most. This change will take effect 8/31/2026.
Under this new model, patients will be evaluated and treated based on the urgency of their condition rather than by appointment time. This approach allows our medical team to prioritize the most critical patients first while ensuring every pet receives the timely medical attention their condition requires.
We still encourage you to call ahead before coming to the hospital whenever possible. A quick phone call allows our team to assess your pet’s needs, prepare for your arrival, and ensure we have the appropriate resources ready to provide the best possible care.
This is an exciting step forward for Bolton Veterinary Hospital and the families we serve. Our goal is to provide a more effective emergency experience while continuing to deliver the compassionate, high-quality care you’ve come to expect. We look forward to being here for your pets when they need us most.
We will continue to offer same-day urgent care appointments for our Primary Care clients. As a reminder, Primary Care clients are those whose pets receive their annual wellness exams and vaccinations with our team.
