When Minutes Matter
Bolton Vet is a hybrid practice that offers urgent & emergency care during special hours.
As a reminder, our emergency hours are:
Monday through Friday 6PM – 8AM.
On Saturdays, emergency hours begin at 1 PM Sundays we see emergencies exclusively
During emergency hours, pets are seen on a first-come, first serve basis and in consideration of the level of emergency care needed. Just as in human medicine, we will see severe and life threatening cases before stable or non-urgent cases.
What to expect when calling for emergency care:
- Relay the details of the situation to the BVH team member by phone.
- They will recommend next steps for you to take, which may include directing you to come in immediately, booking you for a later triage time in person with a BVH veterinarian or referring to another clinic for care.
- Future triage times for same-day urgent care or emergency appointments allow you and your pet to wait more comfortably at home than in our waiting room or parking lot for extended periods.
